SoCalHHR 02-15-2006, 02:41 AM Sounds like a great deal for anyone looking to buy right now.
The Victory Red HHR's will be a "collector's item" of sorts. :thumb:
captain howdy 02-15-2006, 09:49 AM That's kind of cool but I personally like the sport red that is already on the HHR better that victory red. I like darker shades of red on a vehicle rather than bright ones.
Skatetheglobe 02-15-2006, 10:13 AM I'd like to see the seats.
ssrodder 02-15-2006, 11:38 AM Is victory red similiar to the redline red on the SSR?

Victory red is available on the corvette.

PerryHallHHR 02-15-2006, 11:52 AM Sounds nice, but I too like the Sport Red more.
On a side note... are the roof rails dealer or manufacturer installed? If they're dealer, I'd like to get those "after-market" along with the chrome-tip exhaust. I think I may have the only LT without it...
captain howdy 02-15-2006, 12:58 PM Sounds nice, but I too like the Sport Red more.

Manufacturer installed. On my window sticker is lists the dealer installed options like my running boards and splash guards in a seperate column at the bottom. The roof rails are at the top with the rest of the stuff like the 2LT package and 6 disc changer.
txsman2930 02-15-2006, 02:13 PM Nice color, but not sure if I would want to drive a car in that bright of a red. Cops will be drawn to your car like a hound drawn to a rabbit. You'll be a rolling speed trap.
djhubba 02-15-2006, 04:19 PM Sounds nice, but I too like the Sport Red more.

Youre not the only one..I have a sport red 1LT and I dont have rails or exhaust tip either. I may or may not install the rails..my mind changes daily...LOL

SoCalHHR 02-15-2006, 06:37 PM I love the "no rails" look:
http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/6/web/2178000-2178999/2178189_23_full.jpg
It's very clean! :thumb:
BIG JIM WOODMAN 02-15-2006, 09:01 PM no rails,no sunroof and no extra antennas. easy'r to clean and dry too.
SIHHR 02-15-2006, 09:32 PM I'm curious too
Skatetheglobe 02-15-2006, 09:47 PM to bright for me but I bet its still goona look nice. What really is the point of the roof rails?
captain howdy 02-15-2006, 09:53 PM Lot's of people use them for ski's, snowboards, surfboards, bikes, kayaks and so forth. I bought them because they are shiny and I liked how they look on the HHR. I don't see the point in going on about roof rails because if you want the spring edition HHR you get roof rails. There is no option to delete them or get aftermarkets or anything. Your only option with the spring edition is to take them and thats it.

batman5273 02-22-2006, 06:03 PM I am going to the Greater Cleveland Auto Show on Friday night. I will take pics of the Spring Edition and post.
One thing cool with being a dealer, We get first crack at the Auto show before the general public. And Friday morning, we have our breakfast. This year its Chris Berman from ESPN as our key note speaker. Last year it was Dan Patrick, he was awesome.

I sure would like to see that color. Could you find out if it is in the yellow range like the SSR truck or more of the fire engine red with a deep scarlet look to it?

txsman2930 02-23-2006, 01:15 PM Nice color, but I don't like the pinstriping on it. It looks a bit too generic to me.
SIHHR 02-24-2006, 09:05 PM Can you post life shots of the car? Is the two-tone leather also black and gray
batman5273 02-25-2006, 10:48 AM did you read the pic above?
captain howdy 02-25-2006, 10:57 AM I wish they offered two tone leather seat on the regular prodution HHR. One of the reasons I didn't mind buying an HHR without a leather interior is because of how bland the leather seats are.
Jddrumman 02-25-2006, 11:00 AM It's nice... the two-tone leather seats are a nice touch.

SCOOT 03-07-2006, 01:31 PM Anyone have any idea how to get thier hands on a set of the "Chrome Center Caps" like on the Spring edition? I'd like to get rid of the gold bowtie on my polished factory 17's and think these would do it. Can anyone confirm these are chrome (without gold)? If so, I'm assuming they can be ordered as a factory part? Any idea of a part # or when I might be able to get my hands on a set?
As for that... what about the 2-tone seat skins????
-SCOOT
SoCalHHR 03-07-2006, 01:57 PM Since it's a limited edition vehicle, I'm guessing there won't be an abundance of extra wheels lying around. Chevy already has shortages at the factory on certain wheels. Your best bet is going to be waiting until a few are on the roads and then finding a full set of wheels on eBay from an owner who puts aftermarket wheels on his HHR.
Just the center caps though, will be a tough find.
captain howdy 03-07-2006, 02:06 PM If you look closely there are little bowties on those rims also.
fenris222 03-07-2006, 04:33 PM Toooooo Red for my liking, but it still is a spiffy looking ride! I actually like the "Sport Red" better....but I also like Throbbing Gristle so, case in point.....
O6ChevyHHR 03-07-2006, 05:31 PM it looks like blood red. Maybe next year two tone leather will be an option? That would be nice wouldent it and a 240 Hp SS version.

The spring edition wheels are chrome 16 inch. The 17 inch wheels are polished and not avilable with the spring edition. According to my dealer, they cannot be special ordered.
WA_HHR 04-01-2006, 11:41 PM just started dealing with trading my daytona blue 1lt for spring edition, wish me luck...
txsman2930 04-01-2006, 11:54 PM Best of luck. You'll definitely have to post some pics once you have it.
fallenSaint 04-03-2006, 02:33 PM If anyone is curious theres a series of pics from one of these over on the hhrclub.org or whatever that site is. Ran into them when I was browsing some of the concept pics they host. Personally the only difference I like is the seats and after seeing CJ's turnout on his painted seats they look just as good.
Krejaton 04-03-2006, 09:57 PM Fallen...you know what we do to people still hanging out on the other board? We send over Cap in his mask and he does ghastly things to your pets. ;)
fallenSaint 04-04-2006, 09:17 AM Heh, then someone host me all the pics over here so I can browse them when the urge strikes!

WA_HHR 06-24-2006, 12:57 AM just started dealing with trading my daytona blue 1lt for spring edition, wish me luck...
It took a while but I got one!!!!!!!! Dealer had it a total of a 1/2 hr and I saw it, had to have it, and got it. Went backwards about $2800, but got a better terms than I did on the daytona blue 1lt. only options are the spring edition option(thats a given), power sun roof and pioneer speaks. will post pics a bit later..... I got the fever as soon as I saw it!!!!:thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
GDZHHR 06-24-2006, 02:11 PM I heard that they will have other color than Red Victory for that Special Edition HHR , I will keep you post as soon I will know more....
It would have to be a different edition. The Spring Edition was only made for one month with a production run about 2300. It was a special edition called the Spring Edition.
They were all made with the Victory Red, special 16" chrome wheels, and two-tone leather interior. They were all 1LT's. None of these options were available on any other model HHR in 2006.
That doesn't mean that in 2007 and beyond that there won't be other special editions in other color and trim packages, might even have what was on the Spring Edition as options in future years.
But the 2006 Spring Edition only came from the factory in Victory Red.
Hope this helps.

:welcome: to chevyhhr.net Rachel and congratulations on your brand new Victory Red Spring Edition HHR. Yes...it's still a Spring Edition even if it has cloth seats, as the leather is an upgrade. I saw a few at my dealers lot and some had cloth and some had leather. Check out this (http://chevyhhr.net/forums/showthread.php?t=1416) thread started by batman5273 who sells them for a Chevrolet dealership in Cleveland. Lots of info on there that shows all the special things the Spring Edition has that are different.
Look forward to getting to know you and seeing some pics of your new car.

El_Guapo 08-04-2006, 09:10 AM Hello all...!! FNG here...!!
I just discovered the HHR this week. I've seen them on the road, and one of my neighbors has one, but I never paid much attention to them until a couple days ago. I stumbled across one at a local dealer, took it for a test drive and instantly fell in love with it. Now I have to say, I have been a Ford man all my life. Ford cars and trucks have been the only vehicles I have ever owned, other than my first vehicle, which was a 69 International pick up, passed down to me from my Dad. I have NEVER even considered owning any kind of Chevy product. Chevy has not had anything that garnered any of my interest, until now.
The Hi Roof that I drove was a white 2LT, and it had pretty much every option that I think you can get on an HHR. After my test drive I started looking for "The One", and I found it.
Here it is...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v515/White-Feather/hhr.jpg
There is no denying the Victory Red can not be ignored. The color is eye catching to say the least. I pick it up tomorrow..!!!:thumb:
Well I just wanted to chime in and introduce myself. I look forward to my new ride, and to sharing the love of the HHR with you all.
Desert Coyote 08-04-2006, 10:03 AM Huh ... I had no idea that's what it's called, and I saw three of them on my trip! I keep calling it the "Fire Engine Package" because that's what it reminds me of.
trey1966 08-04-2006, 11:01 AM So far I am loving my SE, other than some mods that need to be done to improve handling, the car is wonderful.
GDZHHR 08-04-2006, 11:01 AM Looks like another member of the elite Spring Edition Club.
Maximum membership 2300!!

El Guapo, you're gonna love it. Which options did you get?
2.2 or 2.4 engine
clothe or two-tone leather seats
standard or 6-speaker systemYou'll get lots of great ideas here if you like doing mods.
One of the first things I would do is to check your fuses under the hood. Most people have found that many of them weren't set well.
