What's the point of this reply? Why be mean ? The forum rules state "no hateness" so I am hoping a moderator will remove your remarks.

What's the point of this thread? To be mean to other HHR owners? To be a HHR owner, driver and forum member and come into this forum with other HHR owners and tell some of them their HHR is ugly? Go to the PT Cruiser and hammer them why don't you?

mitzkitty has done alot of work to her HHR and it looks fantastic with the woodie package and we should be congratulating HHR owners like her for being creative, not trying to ridicule fellow HHR owners.

and to think this reply came from a moderator, who apparently doesn't read the forum rules. sigh.

I like the woody look, especially on the old surf wagons. I woud be more in favor of this options if not for the design of the hood. It seems that the sides of the hood are not tall enough to make the woody kit look right.

I like it, because it works...and because it adds to a design idea that the owner wants. I don't have a woody kit on mine because it wouldn't add to my whole hearse thing...hahaha. Exercise you right to be different!!!

I hate year old been dead for a long time threads! :rof: Especially ones where new members berate the Admin. for stating his opinion. :wtf:  Lighten up a little CameraCrew, his opinion may be different than yours but that no reason to go off like that. We can't all agree about everything. I think it looks like shit and would never do that to my HHR. Do you want to rip me a new one because you think it looks good and I don't? I would never personally hate on an HHR owner for doing that to their vehicle just because I don't like woodies. ;) Don't take things so far out of context. There was no personal attack or hatred, just a stated opinion. ;) Besides why would you drag mitzkitty in to this when nobody said anything about her or her awesome ride, just an available woodie kit that she happens to have. To me it seems like you took the others opinion way too personal and worked yourself up over nothing. :thumb:

Oh I'm so glad everyone has an opinion. Its a real shame that some of you don't have any respect for others. A lot of people spend a lot of money on their rides and are very proud of them. I really would like to have someone explain to me why some people feel the need to down grade or make bad tasting remarks about someone's hard work, and the way other people spend their hard earned money. I sure hope it makes them feel better to write such negative remarks.
I really do enjoy reading about the positive remarks.

See ya down the road

But there were no comments aimed at anybody. At the time this thread was started the HHR had just hit the market and nobody on the site had a woody kit yet. Many of us found it ugly so they commented. I still find woody kits ugly but I have enough sense to not tell an owner that there HHR is ugly just because I wouldn't do whatever they did to my ride. As far as others comments it shouldn't make a difference. When you mod a vehicle it should be for your own liking so there for any negative comments shouldn't make a difference as long as you're happy. For example I don't mind if people post comments on my hood scoop being stupid or ugly because I didn’t put it on for them. I put it on for myself and I am happy with it so negative or slightly negative comment doesn’t effect me. ;) Everyone should do the same because there is no way you are going to post something and get 100% positive feedback. You're at least going to get one I wouldn't do that, or not my cup of tea, or flat out that looks like shit.

Amen Bud/Harvey...each person has a different style and does what they want to personalize their vehicles. As long as they like it, that's all that matters.

Seems to me that we've seen quite a few old threads brought to the top that have some controversial issues or comments in them. The comments made by jonyyB and a few others were done so over a year ago when the HHR was in it's infancy.

If we all liked and did the same mods to our HHR's, that would make life pretty boring as they would all look the same...like they did when they were new. Things have been going great here lately...why stir things up with a year old thread that has a few negative comments that will get people riled up again. It is what it is...and like oldschool and CH said...either you like it or you don't...and being the opinionated bunch that we are, some people are going to voice their opinions that are good, bad or indifferent. Different strokes for different folks...that's what modding is all about.
