chadpuska 07-15-2007, 09:38 PM :cussing:  well last night i was driving home through a crappy town called hamilton when i passed a group of people and threw a cup at my car i slammed my brakes on turned around called the cops they took off running i followed them and finally the cops pulled up. Nothing happened to my car jus got pop or whatever on it wiped off fine-i just waxed it and washed it that day it was looking real nice. its funny how jealous people get of nice things
HillsdaleHHR 07-15-2007, 09:40 PM Be glad it was just pop and not a rock, brick, etc. I know what you mean about people being jealous. When I had my Crossfire someone keyed my car
karen1953 07-15-2007, 09:40 PM Sorry, but glad nothing was damaged. Note to self: Do not go to that town!
shaginwgn 07-15-2007, 09:47 PM Whew. I thought another car hit yours. Glad it didnt do damage. Just all the effort and time washing and waxing. If they find them they should wash all the police cars. They dont deserve to even wash a HHR.
R CA HHR 07-15-2007, 09:56 PM I agree Shagin, but before they wash the cop cars everybody should get to throw cups of soda at them and THEN they can wash the cop cars:lol:

Someone throws pop on your ride, clue, keep going...
As far as jealous, I doubt anyone in the crowd knew you or could tell anything about the car coming down the street, just threw pop on the first car coming... not jealous, mischievous.
I have to agree w/ BB. I'm sure that the cup of soda was intended for what ever vehicle was the next one down the street, your's just happened to be it.
So, since you initiated police involvement, what was the result?
GCarp 07-16-2007, 07:44 AM I agree with BB also... Just be glad they didn't come AT you instead of going the other way. You hear of that kind of stuff on the news every once in a while. Glad there was no real damage.
scaleguy 07-16-2007, 07:52 AM I had someone egg my black lacquered '72 El Camino only two weeks before a scheduled photo shoot with Hot Rod magazine and had to completely repaint it before the appointment !!! At least it wasn't something like that or worse...
Hamer1 07-16-2007, 09:55 PM Got my first damage this weekend. Came out of the Grand victoria casino in Indiana and I had a larde door dent on my drivers side rear quarter panel right on the body line over the fender. Got an estimate $475.00. I thought my first hit would be at Walmart. Not a good weekend:(

Oh, not to HIJACK TOO MUCH.... :red: .... I also am very thrilled that you only got popped, WHAT MORONS!!!
tleslie79072 07-17-2007, 12:13 AM I had a similar experience about 6 years ago in my pickup.. I chased the kids down and had them cornered till they heard the cops siren and they bolted.. Cops told me i was lucky the kids didn't "pop a cap in my a$$" I thought they were lucky I didn't do the same to them considering I did have my 9mm in the truck... but I wasn't goning to tell the cop that... but seriously they could have .... and then where would i be???

I know you've had problems with people on this site advocating violence for things that happen to their rides, but IMO, you are too laid back, dude.

I would be glad you witnessed it. About eight years or so ago when I had my '79 Cadillac, someone drag-racing through our intersection chucked a strawberry milkshake all along the side of it (looked like someone had projectile-vomited all the way down the driver's side), and I didn't discover it until 11 the next morning, by which time it had baked into the paint. On top of that, the numbnuts broke my driver's mirror.
I feel yer pain.
ChevyGrlAlways 07-17-2007, 01:17 PM omg some ppl

I guess the first thoughts I have when someone gets upset about a Ride related incident is, so you`d feel better riding the big white bus to the slammer, looking out the window at the last cars you`re gonna see for a long time, because of a momentary fit of anger that caused you to do something to get even.
Cars are simply objects, easily replaced, most likely insured, actually owned by the lien holder... and just not worth the trouble of going to jail/prison/getting killed for...

LOL see i really dont care that my car is insured and i know its a object thats replaceable BUT its my car i work hard to have my car and when someone as so much as touches my car in the wrong manner i get :censored: off. i followed the people till the cops came, not much the cops could really do cuz it did no damage to my car they did search them and put them in the cruiser not sure where they took them though. So Black Beauty dont get your panties in a bunch, its not your car were talking about its mine so how ever i handle things is my choice, i posted this thread to tell evryone what happened, not for you to come and tell me what i shouldnt have done. where does this going to the slammer come into play by the way i did not do anything in fit of anger i called the cops, lol You act like i got out of my car and started fighting with them, i just dont see how calling the cops will land me in jail:confused:
