I discussed in the news section about the hhr color choices and i was surprised that they wont offer a white ss, i was thinking about getting a white ss, but if theres no plans for a white one then i may have to look into a black or silver one.

However I went to the dealer today and got one of the new booklet about this and i asked the salesguy about the pricing n such and he estimated/guessed it would be around 25,000 or more, I told him im thinking it would be around that price, and he says its due out this fall but not sure when, only if chevy could give us a pricetag of this.

The color choices available are

Blue Flash Metallic
Black
Victory Red
Imperial Blue Metallic
Sunburst Orange II Metallic
Silverstone Metallic

these are the color choices so far.. but sadly no white ss :( I wanted to hear some info about a "White SS" version but i guess thatll have to wait.

They never offered white on the Supercharged Cobalt so I am not surprised.

i just remembered, they offered yellow, blue, and black as well.

but im sure someone would want a white hhr ss though, including me.

No wonder why theyre going for the same colors as the cobalts too.

I guess i'll have to look into one of these colors one day they come out, im thinkin of the black one.. but im fearing the scratches on black. (owned a black pt before and it was terrible with these scratches)

No Imperial Blue Metallic, and I believe the light tarnished silver metallic is a new color.

I didnt pick the colors, the salesguy did, he looked it up on the GM Offical website for orders n such and he gave me the list of these colors, but as long these colors make anyone happy about it.

You can have it painted whatever color you want..

white, booger green or yellow would have all been good additions to the SS line.

Nope. The Mystic Blue Flash is closer to the Daytona blue. It's in the 08 brochure.

Those are two different blues. They are both listed in 2008 book, Mystic Blue costs more though.

Hmmm... I just noticed that the official press release lists five colors, but the HHR SS website on the Chevrolet web page says "six exterior colors" in the "exterior" link. Perhaps Imperial Blue Metallic will be offered after all...

How dare they not offer white?!?!?

White was held back when the first HHR's were released also. They kept pushing the date back for availability. That is one reason I wound up waiting for the 07's, the ebony interior was the other reason. Of course by then I wound up with a white panel with ebony interior.

I remember the white hhr's didnt come out till at a later date, but however, maybe they will release a white ss later on in a few years or so.

who knows.

I would write a letter to chevy and state that some of the current or future hhr owners would like to see a SS Version in white, like I would want one.

However, If i went for any color n painted it white.. that would cost me a bazillion of dollars to get it done, so i rather have it factory painted. ;)

im still dreaming that GM will see the (yellow) light and make it in this color.

I would venture to guess that they might be holding back on the yellow to make it some sort of special edition HHR SS...just a thought. :thumb:

If I knew how to contact GM I would. Be nice if I could send those pics directly to Bob Lutz himself... I've already been thinking that they might be holding back on a yellow option for some future special edition, prolly after I get mine in some other color of course! :cussing:

Not trying to give you a hard time. It's just that telling us ain't gonna make it happen. GM needs to hear from people. Try starting with the # in the Owner Manual. Also, try contacting your dealer and ask them to forward to the district level. Then, once you find a good contact, try to get everyone here to contact them, too!

Im not in the minority on "the banana fetish."
More than 2:1 pple who voted in the poll either loved it or liked it. That's not a bad ratio. It's a tradional hot rod color. If you dont get it thats fine. I understand it might polarize some pple. Oh look, it'a an HHR school bus, or oh look it's an HHR taxi.

I sure see a lot of yellow Cobalt SS's running around town. I think it would sell well imho.

I am not a fan of either the red that is being shown or of yellow. But if I had to choose it would be the yellow :banana:

a mystic color would be better

they should offer a tan/white color like the chrysler cool vanilla color but with a different paint method, it would look good as well.
