Front Door Speaker Replacement

Ok, heres a few showing what the factory speaker setup is like. The problem is the hole in the door is not round, more of a teardrop shape. Also they are raised from the surface to seal against the interior panel. My solution was to make my own rings from MDF wood, but plastic adapters are available, try searching for them on ebay.
Hi. wich size are this HHR speakers? 5 1/4 or 6 1/2?
Thanks.

Been reading thru the threads that are "speaker / stereo" related, thought not to post new topic and ask here...
I have an HHR with Base stereo and speakers and looking to replace....I'm handy enough to do the job myself
and here is what I have read here so far.
Base model (non Pioneer?)
Front speakers 6.5 @ 4 Ohm
Rear speaker 6.5 @ 8 ohm
(no Sub)
Now unless I've missed something or haven't researched deeply enough, does anyone know the power handing
in watts of the front and rears?
Most aftermarket I've looked at on the lower end speakers are about 30w each 60w rms per pair.
Now I went to chruchfeld and told them I was looking for 6.5 " 60w pair but 8 ohms speaker for the rear sense that is what I've read
is the original specs, they sent me a link to some high priced speakers that did not fit these specs. But may have been ones that fit the
upgraded Pioneer system. Which I do not have. I'm just looking for some lower end speaker .
have ordered front speakers that I hope will do OK.
If I have any of this info incorrect and or going in the wrong direction for the rears
please feel free to advise, once again I'm going lower end speaker about the $50 pair range.
I just want something in there that I can can get by with.
Thanks,
Mike

Why not saunter into your local Walmart and pick a pair of 6.5 speakers. Since you are tal;king low end there is no reason to agonize over specs.
Doesn't Crutchfield have a search option by vehicle? Yes, they do: https://www.crutchfield.com/g_473750....html?tp=78072

Donbrew, thanks for the reply
I did that first and my local Wally World didn't have the ones they said they had in stock online at my local WM....That is what I'll probably do when it comes time to replace the rear door speakers and when they get restocked....
Tho I will keep searching for the 8 ohm speakers to match original specs.....I see a lot of 4 ohm.....as with my guitar amps I match my speakers to the amp requirements.
