So they've been here recently. Just haven't posted anything in about 12 months.
I guess since almost all of the HHR's factory warranties have run out, CCS doesn't feel the need to be involved in this forum...Sad.

you are right, whopper. i was just flusterated at the time of the post in general. i acutally have one payment left on my hhr. thanks to everyone here, i determined that it was the speakers not the radio itself. the door panels are too fragile for me, so i paid to have my speakers installed. i just didn't tear up the door panels by removing them myself.
recently, battery died, but thanks to these forums, i was able to get battery changed. then, when i changed battery, fuse to radio blew, and that caused all kinds of issues. replaced the fuse, and everything is working great now. if it weren't for these forums, i really would have been stuck. the owners manual, imo, is useless, doesn't really tell you much except, "see your dealer".

That's the way I felt about CCS when they were posting here.

But strange how often the answer to a new owners (and long-time Owners) question is RTFM. The answers are hard to find, but there.

Question like this: "is there any emergency release button for the hatch". Two full pages with illustrations.

BTW: there is a law about emergency trunk releases. Every ones got one of those, too.

speaker failure

I've had 3 fail so far...tried aftermarket but they didn't sound as good, so I just go on Amazon and buy replacements for about $20 ea.

Yep, they shouldn't fail, but....

I own a 2008 & 2009 LS model and both have this issue. I thought this problem was
caused by the radio rather than the speakers as striking the volume control on the 2008
model resolves the problem. The 2009 model has one rear speaker that is working and
occasionally the others work.

For an 8 and 9 year old car, not bad! My 10 year old LS with the Pioneer premium system is still rocking!!
Most people have replaced the stock speakers and the problem was fixed!

X2 Oldblue! MY 2006 Pioneer system sounds GREAT still. Maybe it was a non Pioneer system issue? I love my system and am still using the stock speakers!
