installed jl in the doors

Finally replaced the front and rear speakers with jl audio 6 1/2. Sound pretty good but rattles should have put bass blockers on all of them i guess. Thinking about adding a sub in the stock subwoofer panel.

If yours didn't come with a sub from the factory, then there is nothing behind that circle. Just empty space (and a metal bracket). You could always post a Wanted ad for a factory enclosure, though.

Im also considering a sub in the stock location, Im getting tired of moving the ~80lb monster in and out of the basement whenever I need the room.
I think the best bet is a molded fibreglass enclosure, someone posted theirs on here somewhere. I havent done much fibreglass work, but a little research should help, as its not cosmetic hidden behind the interior panel.

I've got jl in my doors as well. I use second skin but whatever you use you really need to deaden the doors. Don't use bass blockers. You need to fix the problem not limit your system.

Are you guys running the jl on the stock cd player or aftermarket HU? Going to have to do something cause theres hardly any bass have to turn it town or starts rattling.

the first thing i replaced was my head unit, with a pioneer double din, and the difference in sound out of the STOCK speakers (base speaker system) was night and day..then i replaced those speakers, and added an amp, and wow.

i suggest getting an aftermarket HU!
