Rear (XM/OnStar) antenna question
So earlier today, I had to brush a lot of snow off my 2006 hhr. The brush hit the rear antenna and it popped off! I picked it up and attempted to put it back on the base, but it wouldn't stick. My next thought was "hmm, maybe I have to turn it..." so I tried that, but it only rotated a quarter turn and got stuck in place. I tried so hard to move it, the rubber part can rotate independently of the inner antenna. Basically, now it's stuck sideways but everything works. I noticed there were metal contacts that connect when the antenna is in. Since they're touching, everything still works?
It's not coming off again anytime soon. It's really on there now.
My question is... Is this bad??
UPDATE: I was able to use pliers to get it straightened out. Again, XM and OnStar still work. I also figured out why the rubber piece can rotate now, I must have snapped a metal rod keeping it in position. I reiterate, xm and OnStar still work. My question is do I have anything to worry about with my current situation?

That antenna only serves XM/Sirius and OnStar. So, if you don't have them don't worry about it.
