Stereo questions...

Hey guys, I know this has probably been asked a lot, but my search only turned up vague info and a dead how-to link. I was wondering what the best way to pull the waterfall off is? I've read that i just need to pull the top or from the vents but i'm pulling so hard i'm afraid i will break the vents! Also what exactly do i need for an aftermarket double din deck? I have a 09' LS with the 6 speaker stereo.
I believe i need the GMOS-LAN 03 wiring harness ( Axxess GMOS-LAN-03) ,an antenna adapter (Metra Electronics 40-CR10) and a installation kit (Metra Electronics 95-3302). Does this sound right? Its mostly the wiring harness i'm having the hardest time with...

Thanks guys!

put ur fingers through the vents , just make sure when ur pulling it to make sure that you're grabbing the actual waterfall and not pulling on the vents.. then yes it will break

I put a flat tip screw driver behind the plastic where the yellow arrows are below....came off fairly easily. You have to disconnect a few things if I recall correctly

I'm not an expert but my 09 needed the 04, think the difference is Onstar. The stereo shop install 2 of them that I have and they only worked a few minutes, they are both out on the shelf. They used a Pac11 adapter and I havent had any problem for 2 years.
