stock 8" sub box/sub input needed

I want to put a decent 8" sub (AB, DD, sundown, etc) but not sure how much room the stock box can give me as far as air space or depth (so the sub will fit)

As some of you know, these comp brands all have huge magnets usually around 8" or so in diameter so I'm thinking the space with the stock box might not be enough to fit one.

Any input on this is appreciated.

Not going with alpine kicker kenwood JL pioneer or other similar brands for personal reasons unless I absolutely have no other option.

Shallow mount jl 10 will drop right in . Of course you will have to modify the cut out.. we all know you do not like jl. The price tag is close to 500 for one , but it will work. You could invert a sub and have magnet out and use a sundown sub...

i put in a 10" JL as well...like said previously you will have to cut the paneling in the car...but if youre not up to that...Kicker makes a really good 8" shallow sub that will give you a good thump :)

I want to stick with the competition brands like dc dd sundowm ab ia etc

I had a jl 12w3v3-4 for $250 brand new and it was good, but very overpriced imo. I found a 12" vvme rd-12 for $55 and it blew the jl out of the water.

I know best buy brands are good and al

And I just was just wanting to put an 8" in the stock hole so I dont hack up the car lol

Then you are most likely going to have to build your own custom enclosure, or, give up on the stock location.

SOME standard 8's MAY fit the stock box and most shallow mount woofers will also but the limiting factor might be airspace and enclosure solidarity.
