I to had the Cat button, but that does not mean you have xm, if you push it and it gives you channels then it is there. I went to the dealer and they had no idea and said i had sat rdo. I called xm and they walked me thru to find out if I have it. I didnt. After market......

get ahold of XM...I am sure you can add their car installation kit to your car, and get XM.

go to their website, and click on ACCESSORIES. It's a flash-type website, so I cant link the part, but click and find the car accessories...they sell an antenna for $29.99

You'll have to ask the stereo gurus how that hooks to your factory radio.
Most local stereo shops would know because they do this sort of thing for a living. Not that they have to install it for you...but they should know if all you need is a XM antenna to get your XM-ready factory head unit to receive a signal.

The stock radio doesn't have an XM receiver, only an interface to the optional XM receiver box. You can't just hook an antenna to it and go.

No antenna = no reciever = no wiring harness to the rear where the factory installs.

Best bet is aftermarket, there's a GM-LAN4 XM direct kit, or you get the OE kit for about the same price. The XM direct should be easier to install since you don't have to run the harness to the back and drill the roof to mount the stock antenna. Both run about $300 plus install.
