Talking Brembo up-grade, easy as 1,2,3

Tried to purchase manufactured Brembos from O'Reillys auto parts. They did get me a right one for $89 plus core $50. Purchased a new one off Amazon for $216 shipped. New rotors and pads, totaling about $490. Remanufactured come with hardware, new one was only caliper, no hardware. It's a direct bolt on mod. Same as changing rotors and calipers. Here's some pics with a little paint and stickers to highlight it.
I also weigh each combination, so you can see a 2lb. lose in weigh per side.

Before

After

Dumb question

This is a dumb question but I gotta ask. I want to do this Brembo conversion to the LS1 HHR but I have a question. When I go on ebay looking for the correct parts, everything on the rotors come up as an SS part......I assume this is the correct rotor? None of the listings state the diameter of the rotors but it must be the larger diameter ones, right?

I haven't found the calipers yet but do they bolt directly on to the stock LS or LT brake brackets?

thanks

Be careful on the rotors. Be sure they are for Brembo (brake code J56 or heavy duty) or you'll end up with standard SS brake rotors.
The rotors bolt directly to spindle. no bracket needed. Use same brake line and caliper retaining bolts to spindle.

Thanks. Thought people would like to know the differences, since the rotor is so much larger and caliper is so much larger.
