your struts and shocks may be worn out. I would start there.

I have some clunking in the front also, seems like the rf is worse, are these know for struts making noise?

Sway bar end links, sway bar bushings, and strut mounts are the usual clunking culprits. Clunking sound from the steering column is usually attributed to the intermediate steering shaft; there are all the clunks I can think of! Axles can clunk, but that is RARE and usually when accelerating; either straight or with wheel turned.
