The NASCAR race teams do this now, until the price for the process comes down to where the average "John Doe" can afford it, I seriously doubt you're gonna find anyone on this site that has had this done.

Nope! Can't afford it, haven't needed them yet! My machined rotors from Crossdrilledrotors.com have been awesome for 32,000 miles now, not pulsation or judder!
A better stopping distance than my stock LS 10.6 inch rotors , glad I swapped to the 11.6 inch SS non Brembo rotors!

So the possibility of not having to change rotors and pads every 15000 to 20000 miles for the price of $120 per rotor is not worth looking into?

My current rotors have 90,000 miles on them. Barely a ridge. They cost less than $100 for both + premium ceramic pads. My OE rotors went about 100,000 miles.

If you are only getting 20K out rotors there is something wrong, maybe more frequent adjustment of the rears?

Just to clarify, do you have SS brakes on a non-SS car (rear drum) or an SS with 4-wheel disc? If it's 4-wheel disc, there's really no adjustment you can do, is there?

Are you having to change them because they're worn, or because they start pulsating? are they actually worn or are you having problems finding anyone to turn them so you're not just "pad-slapping".

I ask just because in my area, it's almost impossible to find anyone who still turns rotors.

All the shops just tell you they're so cheap, just buy new ones.

SS car non brembo from gm. Pulsating pedal. I don"t believe in turning rotors and making them thinner. Put on ebc premium rotors and ebc green pads and then same rotors with ebc red pads. 4 wheel disc from the gm. Tired of spending money on this same problem. Also tried cheapie rotors and you guessed it same problem only sooner
