Energy Suspension sway bar bushing question

Question for the members who installed the above bushings that you grease........

I believe one of the members mentioned that he replaced the straight zerk with a 90 degree. Is this necessary? Can the straight zerk be reached, to do the greasing, RELATIVELY easy without this replacement? I have a hoist hopefully to simplify the install and the greasing maintenance..

I purchased the greasable bushings some time ago and they have been sitting on my parts shelf. Decided to install them BUT, right now I'm laid up with a very bad back injury (minor surgery coming this Tuesday) so I can't get the car on the hoist to do any work or to see about clearance.

Any info would be appreciated so I can prepare, if necessary, for the install.

Hope to be back to "active" in about a week.

I originally installed the straight zerks but at first try to grease them I couldnt reach them. Replaced with 90's. Use the 90's if you have them. If not, get them. Makes the job much easier.

90's are way easier, you can reach up to the straights if you have a flexhose on your grease gun but it is a pain!

x2 - but I used the straight ones, and can reach them ok with little difficulty. Depends on the grease gun to a degree.

Ok, thanks a bunch guys.

I have an air pressure grease gun that has a flexible hose. But the metal female connector portion is about an inch long and not flexible, so I guess I'll purchase the 90 degree zerk.

A further question.....I'm told the split in the bushing itself faces to the rear. Which way do you recommend to position the zerk....front, rear, angled.

Oh, and I guess this is stupid but, there is 2 fittings......each angled in the same direction?

Hate to be a nuisance but I can't get out and look....sorry.

I angled mine to face out toward the wheel so I can reach it from the side, I don't have a lift just a jack and stands for LOF time!

right off the bat i put 90's in my energy suspension pieces. found that the zerks wanted to reposition themselves angle wise..so, went one step further. after positioning the 90's so i could get to them, i glued them in place with some JB WELD. have since lubed the bushings many times and the zerks have not moved at all.....makes a PITA jo a bit easier when you dont have to fight with zerks that wont stay put..

I am a newbie, so excuse my lack of knowledge. I am going to have the front suspension of my 09 LT gone through, and the first question is regarding the size of the front sway bar bushings. I see that they come in 25mm, and also 26 mm sizes. How does one know which size to use?
