I need some advice on lowering springs and struts

First off, I know how people can get on forums sometimes. So I am politely asking, no comments on do a search. I already have, and am a little overwhelmed.

I have an 08 Panel LS. I want to lower it, and I am guessing I should get new struts and shocks. But what struts and shocks are the best, and what springs will get my desired look?

I am planning on doing a wheel and tire upgrade as well. I am not completely positive on tire sizes yet. But I do know I will be sticking with 16" wheels up front, and going to 18" in the rear. So I am looking for the springs to bring me to a level height, since my bigger wheel size in the rear, will give me my desired rake.

Any advice will be much appreciate.

Pedders and Koni's are a great setup... PM us if you have any questions about these 2 products.

The KYB are an FE3 spec gas charged shock/strut..... FE3 is a considerable upgrade to your LS FE1 setup. I didn't "lower" mine but leveled it and used the Ground Force rear springs. Works really well, quality springs IMO. They make a lowering set also.

What ever you get add a rear swaybar to the mix.

I went with the Eibach Pro kit. Love it so far. Handling is very good and it looks much better. If you have the FE1 suspension it will bring you down about 1.5". It still has a rake though as I still sit about 1" higher in the rear with the Eibach kit.

Oh BTW, the HHR forum isn't your typical "Do a search" forum(though I know exactly what you mean). You will usually find good info and people on this site.
