Not universal from side to side. They are side specific, left and right because of the brackets.

I got time to check and I have travel on the right side but not the left. I think my strut may have seized up. Part # is Monroe 72179 universal side to side has bracket for sway bar to cone out both sides.

The part number may be the same but, for Quik Struts it is followed by a L or R it is the direction of the coil . If you re use the old springs they are the same, but the springs are R & L.

I ordered a set of kyb struts. They say to have a shorter compresed height if they are measuring the same points. Will install Saturday and see how it works. Thanks for all the advice.

Hmm. If you put those springs you cut off on the KYB struts, you may be asking for trouble.
Or, are the KYB's quick struts with the springs already installed ?

Just an update. Installed new kyb struts and checked old ones. Left strut would seize up about 3 inches before end of travel. With new struts and cut eibach springs the car sits level and does not bottom out at all. Now just off to the alignment shop. I would post a pic but not real sure how to. Thanks for the advice that you guys gave.

Well, you could look at the links in my sig, or type "how to post pictures" into the search box, or just scan through the stickys in the "how-to" forum. Directions are not hidden.
