I do not know which ones to order. I looked on the help thread but it lists two different possibilities when it comes to the bushings, depending on the model year and build date. If someone could point me in the right direction I would be grateful. I am not very good when it comes to reading vins, especially since my vin has a 0 where the vin listed in the help thread has a 2?

If it helps, my VIN is 3GNDA23P06S578594 and I am looking for non greasables.

The difference is the diameter of the bar. Best advice is to measure it to be positive.
Most are 1 inch whatever that is in metric, IIRC.

I got mine from GM.

The bar diameter is different in the FE1 suspension, please check your glove box door and check to see if you have the FE3 suspension
Your 578594 digits are higher then 546472, and so you would have the 25 mm or 1 inch diameter bar.

Sadly, I have the FE1. The new Gabriel quick struts I installed seem a bit stiffer, though my old ones could have been that shot. Final question would be that I found this kit on Amazon, albeit expensive, that replaces the entire bracket as well. https://www.amazon.com/Dorman-928-31...ar+bushing+hhr Is that really necessary? Do you fellas think that replacing the bracket too is "overkill?"

any reason why you dont want greasable?

I would suggest going with the moog greaseables bushings...or the energy suspension ones (though i dont know too much about them)

I just want to install and forget is all. If you forget to grease the greasables they fail even more quickly than the OEM ones.

Huh; even ordering through GM parts Direct, the total cost with shipping comes to about 20 bucks. might be worth the extra 4 dollars to get new brackets as well since they are priced at 13 dollars EACH on GM Parts Direct

Alright now I am confused; the diameter for that GM part number comes up as ".91 inches" WTF I thought it was the Bushing for the 1 inch bar?!?!?!

Nope that would be the 23 mm bar, like on the SS and early 2006
