you guys are correct again!!
i was getting brake shudder getting off the highway.
https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/brak...braking-54599/
i looked at the LCA's they were fine (just changed them recently with new endlinks)
then took Grizzly old mans advice of the rear brakes readjusted them.
man what a difference!! i can actually feel my rear brakes again!! i didnt realize.
took it for a high speed pass on the LIE slowed down and shudder has been eliminated!!!
THANK YOU!!!

Maybe it's because of our gray hair and "been there, broke that, here's how to fix it" thing that we do.
New (or New-ish) Members are like rebellious teenagers, no offense meant to anybody honest.
But they get that "aw nuts, there goes Grandpa again, uphill both ways to school in the snow...for five miles" speech vibe.

LOL!!
see and you guys dont charge for the routine!!!
i learned after awhile. instead of going for the costly project look at the simplest AND cheapest things first. and if i need direction i now search the site first!!
with other sites i have seen a lot of members are full of hot air and generally just like to post things and i learned not to trust their experience. but time and again you guys have aided in my project and it goes for my other cars as well. this and another site are my go to for reliable advice and i THANK YOU ALL!!!

Just wanyed to chime in and say that this community is more than half the reason that I love my HHR so much. You guys are all amazing especially the "vets" who have been around doing this sort of thing for a long time. Sure, I have gotten a couple snippy answers to my questions but they were well deserved when reading through. You guys are helping me develop my "backyard mechanic" skills in a way I wouldnt have thought of before I got this HHR. Checking the forum and keeping up to date with you guys has become a daily routine! oh and I just adjusted my rear brakes too! . Some day, when my son is older (he is 18 months now) I want to be able to help him with his car troubles and show pictures of my old bright orange HHR to him! Maybe, by that time, the HHR will be remmbered as a cool classic hot rod! Again, thank you all so much, this is by far the best forum community out there.

If we've ever been snippy, sorry about that, we really are.
It's posts like this that make the hundreds of Man Hours of worth work put into this Site by my Staff and your's truly, worth every minute.
And it's fantastic Members like you, who make it all worthwhile. Instead of showing your your son photos of the old HHR, keep it on the road and pass it down.
My boy Dusty is four now, and he knows that Paddy the '07 HHR will be his when he turns 18, and maybe someday "Grandpa's old truck" will be passed on to his son or daughter.
