Thumbs up 06 HHR Wheel Bearing (THANKS FOR THE HELP)

Just wanted to thank everyone for all your posts, they gave me the confidence to save $300 and change my passenger side front Wheel Bearing myself. I created a video for the next guy. Hopefully it gives someone like me the courage to tackle this seemingly difficult job.

Cheers,

Jeff

Thanks for all you do! I have been a member of the group since I bought my hhr in 2006, just have not had a need to post. But I have gained tons of knowledge off this forum and really thank all the people who participate and moderate as this is VERY valuable resource. Keep up the good work!!

Everything went smooth as silk until I had to start banging on the assembly to get it out. It was stuck pretty good and I had a quick moment of "Oh crap what have I gotten myself in to." Luckly, at that point it started to move. Phew!

Awsome! Congrats on geting the job done. You're now an official member of the "Shade Tree Mechanics" club.

Truthfully, most anyone can swap or fix just about everything on these HHR's except the internals. (I know some can do the internals but most of us don't have the equiptment to do it.) Most of the times you're basic tool kit can get the job done while other times you may need to go get a tool (like the 32mm socket) or maybe even "rent" one from the local parts place.

So what ever you decide to tackle next, be confident that between your skills and this forum, you can conquor anything..............HHR related that is.
