Cv shaft at transmission is not tight??

The cv shaft where it goes in the trans is wobbly and is what I believe is giving me a rotational vibration. Wheel bearing are tight and cv's are new but apparently they weren't my problem . Any help will be greatly appreciated

Some background info:
- year of HHR
- mileage
- auto or manual transmission
- which output shaft? Drivers or passengers side?
- who replaced the CV joints?
- have you taken it back to whoever replaced the CV joints for a further inspection?

Welcome to the site, the bearings the axle stubs slide into could be the cause of the loosen, but no wobble in the steering wheel where are you getting the vibration showing up from the loose bearings? Seat of your pants or your foot under braking?

Cool

I am having the same issue White is having. if you grab the axel where it goes into the trans you can wiggle it back and forth and up and down. I have seen seals for sale on web sites and some look like they come with an additional piece that looks like a metal sleeve. could this be the part that holds the axel so it does not wobble. Both axels and wheel bearing are new . it is related to something in the trans housing itself . I dont think a new seal alone woyuld solve this but im at a loos . Anyone else have this problem . Whjat was the fix ??? HELP Mr Wobbles ...

You already have opened another thread with the same issue, so I am closing this thread. Posting the same thing in different places just causes confusion for those trying to help.

It's doubtful the original poster in this thread will reply as he doesn't seem to respond to questions raised in this thread. Maybe try sending him a private message.
