So a new battery with similar results. Still not turning over. Flickering/fluttering CEL. I asked if he pulled any codes. U0100. Communication error. I unplugged some wires checking connections but I don't know what's up with the code. I'm checking into it as I type

So I guess an entire overview makes me wonder....
Car runs fine on a long trip

Remote start works the following day

I try to start it after remote start shut off....keeps turning over but won't fire- battery dies(i think)

Found blown inj ign fuse (#45)

Discovered that fuse keeps blowing

New battery corrects a bunch of things but no start and fluttering CEL

U0100 code

Double check connection to the ground under the hood at the driver's side rad cradle and the front of the transmission below the oil filter cap! Check the positive cable at the under hood box, recheck the fuse box two halves are secure and tight.
Check clean and ensure the ECM and TCM connections are tight.
Double check the fuses and relays

X3!

How about this thought: a short in the starter or solenoid. That might cause the fuse to blow. Not sure about that.

Hi brothers..
have a same problem.. starting, not starting... starting, not starting..

seems a connection problem somewhere. I change to first ignition switch/starter switch, worked about a week, then again same problem.

at this moment i start car with removing starter relay, and connect two terminals, then put relay back to the place

any suggestions?

Google translate works good for Estonian.

Sounds like the starter relay is bad. But;

Check the RED connection on the underhood fuse box. Check the ground connection on the driver side radiator support. Check the connections on the starter.

So my mechanic has given up( it took 10 days?!?!?!), says its likely one of two things...The ignition switch (recall) and/or the computer...the car is headed to a chevy dealer as we speak....I love this car...I have never thought about getting rid of it, until today....Those colorados look nice. I can't live without that turbo'd wagon though.

the recall should have been taken care of but the last two times I had an appointment, the parts were mysteriously on backorder...so I gave up.

I still haven't figured out how or why they scheduled your recall without the usual 3 month ordering delay everybody else has gone through.

The procedure was supposed to be:
1.) you call the dealer to request it be done
2.) the dealer calls you when they get the kit
3.) you make the appointment.

Seems like your dealer is doing something odd.

So they've called me twice and it has me worried. the mechanic asked about the "after market turbo kit"....I informed him the car comes turbocharged. Look it up.

I know they had to have seen a cobalt or sky or solstice or something....it should look familiar. I'm pretty frustrated at this point and I'm just waiting for a pricey repair

Uh oh. Sounds like it's time to find a new shop with "real" mechanics.
