About 10 years ago or so there was a 'shootout' between a Funny Car and a custom Toyota. The 4cyl Toyota whipped the Funny Car pretty good.

Remember that the Funny Car had to follow NHRA specs to the letter! Size, weight and drivetrain are highly restricted by the rules.

The Toyota was about half the Funny's size and had a custom forged block and no rules to go by.

The advances in metallurgy, engine design and machining are incredible!

I want the specs on this too! Really unbelievable!

They are, in a lithium powered datsun b510, instant full speed. I want a copy of that tune.
