Fuel Injector Cleaning
#24
Alls I knows about 44K is I can't afford it, even at cost + 10%. Cheaper to buy new injectors for about $80 than have them cleaned (just make sure you get the correct part number for your ECM program).

Fuel injector cleaner
Well here go my take on an old thread about fuel injector cleaners. I've been using Marvel Mystery Oil for around 26 years and the results have been good. I put 216,000 miles on a Saturn SW2 wagon and used only M.M.O. in it and never had any injector problems. One really good use of this oil is an engine sitting for along time and not run is to pour this stuff right down the intake (or as close as you can to the pistons) it's will release the piston ring so they won't break on start up. Best results is to let set over night. Anyway thats only one more opinion.

STP super injector cleaner in the BLACK bottle works! I have used it for years every 4 to 6 months my Z-28 TPI engine runs a lot better with an improvement in MPG as well.
Marvel Mystery Oil works also, actually it works for a lot of things. My old jeep had a sticky Loud lifter I added a quart to the oil let it run for 1/2 an hour.....no more noise. After that I decided to put some in the gas after a couple of tanks the old 4.0 is running smoother and 3 mpg better mileage. Might not work for you but it did for me.
