2006 hhr ls totaled :(

Well I pulled a bone head move and ran into the back of a 1999 Toyota Camry.

Odd set of events in that we were rolling down the road about 35mph and approaching a green light at a major intersection, I looked off at a business and I think at that spit second the gal in front of me came to a sudden stop at the cross walk for an ambulance code 3 crossing. I looked back and of course had time to say oh ****, try to push the brake pedal through the floor board and then thump.

first estimate is 8K . The car dived of course and went under the Camry so the hood radiator and what not underneath took the brunt.

Damn I really liked my HHR and I'm torn about buying another. I haven't completed insurance adjustment yet, so I'm not sure where I'll stand financially. I'm thinking I'll be lucky if I can pull 6.5K out of it.

I think next time you will wait until you are not driving to look at business.

Glad you're okay, that's the main part.

Get a SS next time. :)

IF the airbag/s did not deploy and you can buy it back from the insurance company it might be worthy of fixing it.

My days of doing a repair like that are over, not to mention time to and place to do it.

As for an SS, Oh yeah on my shopping list.

Sorry to read about your accident.

Thankfully no one was hurt.

An SS would be a great replacement.

Ask me how I know!

hello again folks, Ok so I'm now shopping for another HHR.

Any thoughts on the Traction control? My 06 LS did not have that.

Thank you,

Mike R

My '07 LS doesn't have it either, so I don't miss it!
