Door Lock buttons

Has anybody come up with a fix for the door lock post on the front doors being painful to your arm when you put your arm on the window ledge when the window is down? I am sure I am not the only one this bothers....

I have seen a replacement that brings it flush. I was too lazy to do a search though..

Use the search box, plenty there..

But I removed the plastic knobs, trimmed the stems & re-installed.. flush in lock down.
I did leave the pass side a bit higher than flush, in case of emergency & no power..

One thing to think about when doing this, the doors do not open from just pulling the handle like most cars. The doors have to be unlocked first, if the power door lock motor or switch or whatever doesn't work, you are stuck. LOL

True, that's why I left the pass side up just enough to grab, in case..

Don't put your arm there?
Sorry, I couldn't resist.

I recall somebody doing a flexible tab or sleeve at the top of the button.

Here is what I did. I hated the chrome and getting hit in the arm all the time.
I changed the rear ones too but left them the original length so if something happened and I needed to get out of the car with no power then I could open the rear doors.
