front bowtie size

The same GM part number(20836156) is used for 2006-2011 HHR's regardless of trim level.
The dimensions in inches are: 7.5"(L) x 0.125"(D) x 2.5"(H) per GM, if I can escape the ringing phone long enough I'll stumble out into the rain to double check for you.

Brrrrr....38º Fahrenheit/3.4º Celsius, in the rain, in shirtsleeves....but GM's Bowtie measurements are "Close enough for Gov't work" as we say in these parts skyline.
Hope this helps, I'll now be wrapping myself around a nice hot cup of coffee.
(Yes, Southerners are weenies in cold weather, there I said it)

ok reviving an older thread..i finally got my hands on a front Ls/LT bowtie, and it does not fit correctly on an SS grille. There seems to be more of a curve on the SS one than the other. I looked up the part numbers also and it does show that both are the same, but it doesnt match up correctly on the grille, plus the "plastic pins/knobs" on the rear of the bowtie dont match up to the ones on the grille.
weird..
now i dont know what to do, does sit flush with the grille

1. Are you sure you have a Stock Factory Grill??
2. If it fits flush and comes with the full 3M peel and stick why can't you just trim the pins off with a close pair of dike cutters and finish with a sharp knife.
Then carefully center it and install ??
3. Are you sure of the application of the part you are using ??
If it did not come GM packaged and sealed then what part do you really have ??
4. Check the length measurement as the rear is different from the front. The front is longer and on the LT has a little more curve then the rear.

It's the stock SS grill but emblem is a bit off still. I'll take a picture of it tomorrow during the day...the pins i cut off already, but to me it seems as if there should be more. And yes i know about the rear being a different size.
