Does anyone know if the HHR door handles are exclusive to the HHR and NOT shared with any other model? Hard to beleive that when they designed the HHR they didn't go to the parts bin for in production parts.
Reason I am asking is that I am looking for chrome handle covers and it looks like they are not be produced by anyone...

As far as i know they are one of the unique bits on the HHR.

I could've sworn that many of today's GM cars use the same type of handle. I drove a Malibu for a few days and I'm pretty sure they were the same.

Take a look at this auction and tell me if it looks like these Equinox covers might work?

OK... found one that says the Equinox, Malibu, HHR, Pontiac G6, and Torrent handles are interchangeable, so looks like the covers in my previous post should work.

This opens the door also for those that might want black or body colored handles!

Yeah, the HHR's door handles are parts-bin common to many other models. Manufacturers like to do that so they can just deal with one vendor and reduce inventory of unique parts. Part of the whole Deming thing.

Wow....thanks to all for the quick replies.....anyone have a parts book that actually shows the part #'s as being the same..I'd hate to spend 100 bucks only to find out that they are not exact....thanks again.
