HHR Hybrid

Anyone hear if GM is planning a HHR hybrid in the future, this would be a great car for this, I think if they came out with one next year I would trade in my 08 for it , I love my HHR so far, but I like to travel on my vacations. So a hybrid would be nice.

A hybrid would be nice and, I believe, they are using the 2.4L powerplant with the 4 speed auto in the new Malibu hybrid. With GM's new push for greener vehicles it might happen in a year or two although I'm sure it has a lot to do with economics and whether or not they will be able to make a profit from put in a hybrid powertrain with a higher cost.

Give it at least a decade before you buy a hybrid, the tech is just not up to par yet. Plus any decient tech that is out now for something like that is way too expencive.

Most hybrids, except the Prius, don't get much better mileage than our HHR. I looked into the Malibu and the Saturn Vue. I'm just as well off with the HHR and my payments are lower.

I recently just got back from a trip to Savannah, I got about 525 miles a tank,
not too bad, maybe I don't need a Hybrid yet!
