How do you think the HHR handles in the snow?

Ok, back on topic. We are getting alot of snow here and so far the HHR has done well. Getting use to the ABS is different and I am in the process of getting new rims for my snow tires, will update when I get the rims, hopefully by next week and what not.

Hey, everybody drive safely and have a FANTASTIC Thanksgiving!

Yes believe it or not we do. Once or twice per year in my area. Snows a few inches over night. Everyone wrecks their car because they can't drive in it the next morning. It all turns to slush in the afternoon, freezes again over night, more car wrecks the next morning. Then by noon of the 3rd day it is back in the 60's and 70's. I take all of the backroad when it snows to keep away from the yay-hoos that think 80 MPH on Snow and ice is just fine.

I'd like to come up to NY some time too. Only been there on layovers in Newark. I'd like to go see the sites sometime. Maybe once my boys are grown.

Thats what happened here last night. Within my 20 minute ride to my buddies house I saw 2 cars off the road in ditches, 2 cars that had a front end meets rear end collision, 1 truck turned around the wrong way and smashed into a guard rail, and 1 car smashed into a guard rail but it was facing the right way. On the way back I saw a 5 car pile up on the opposite side of the highway and had to sit in a 1/2 hour traffic jam because 4 cars and a semi all collided. It seemed like nothing but flashing lights both ways.

A few years ago while driving halfway down my block with my Ford Focus, the back two tires got locked up while driving over ice and I hit a parked car. It was 100% complety not my fault. To this day I hate driving past that person house. I'm hopeing to have no problems this winter with the new ride.

Did your insurance company find you liable? Something similar happened to one of my friends and his insurance company screwed him and raised his insurance.

Yep I was held Liable. It stayed on for 3 1/2 years. It comes off in the spring of 06. I think it was like 30 more a month.

I like the way it looks better without the snow but the HHR looks great no matter what.
