OK, I LOVE my car. I will always just kick myself for not getting the black SS i saw when i could. I made the blunder of buying something my wife wanted instead. when i finally decided to get MY car, I wanted the 0% financing and no increase in my payment at all. so, the LT1 was in my budget. It's loaded with interior extras & I love the car.

It's just the first car I've had that didn't throw you in your seat & tell everyone else to get the hell out of the way.

The fact that I took such a drop in performance proves to me I just love the model itself.

I guess it would be kind of like me loving being Italian but hating the my big nose & bushy eyebrows

If I get a ticket, my insurance rates will go up, and I probably wouldn't be able to afford all 3 cars...so it's fast enough for me. I don't speed, and I don't plan on it. Now back when I was reckless...I topped the Lumina at 107 when it cuts off, and I've never had the truck past 90 or so...the speedo only goes to 85 so it's hard to tell. But I don't plan on trying it on the HHR.

My days of passing a State Trooper doing a 110 are over, so now days I just cruise at 55 getting 41 MPG and enjoy the scenery.

it is hard to hit 150 when they put tires on them that are rated @ 130
that is why there was a governer put on

I just set the cruse on 55 when I hit the highway Blue Car. Try setting your cruse on 55 and clear out your DIC when you hit the highway to see what you will get. I did this with my sons HHR that has aqua tread tires on it and got 39.5 MPG.

um, had my LS Auto up to 105 once just to see how fast it would go. Open empty 8 lane interstate at about 1 am. Started catching up to some traffic so decided to play it safer and slow down to 75. Nothing like my old '72 Ranchero that i had that ran 140 in the 1/4 mile. LOL Now I am older, maybe not wiser, but definatly older. LOL I want to look like I can go fast if needed, and just putz along to where ever it is I am going. Going fast and getting a speeding ticket just makes you later. :)
