My lucky day! Went on Ebay and there one was - single rim $250 shipped - it's not perfect, but cleaner then the one it'll replace and it's on it's way! I'm going to buy tonight's lotto ticket now maybe I'll be driving a 488 next month.

I was VERY tempted to get these on black friday over the 12.25 - but at the time of purchase the SS was going to be the new everyday driver. I was afraid of having to get new brakes and rotors more frequently.

Maybe if they're included in another ZZP black friday deal, I'll jump on them and sell the current 12.25 calipers

Nice cars, by the way.

The kit looks complete. Do you know anyone else that has put them on? I would try and talk to them about the product, though brakes are pretty basic.

The only thing I would question is - That company says they are Brembo calipers, but I know Brembo does not out source their products to other companies to sell with their logo on them, only with Brembo logo on them. Their west coast hub is only an hour away and I have Brembo's on both my other cars, one came with them - the CTS V Wagon and the other I put on and worked directly with them on the upgrade to my Z06. Great brakes. I posted a family portrait of the 3 cars together.

Speed and big motors are great, but if you can't stop what's the point?

Thanks Airfoto! I got the 12.25 package and they're black brembo calipers that had the brembo branding. I painted them red with caliper paint, but left the flat surface with the brembo branding black.

There is a member who has the 14.5's on his SS - you can see his before and after shots here - https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/brak...t-51198/page2/ .

Pretty sure they're rear camaro brembos that ZZP fabricated brackets and such to fit the front of the HHR.

If they work that's all that matters! I'm sure they make a big difference.

My comments were based on that companies picture of the kit and their comment. Good to hear the Brembo logo is on them.

I've always upgraded brakes first , then the big engine!
I did a '71 Plymouth Scamp, added 11 inch X 3 inch Cornet police/ taxi brakes, then squeezed in a big block k member and a 440 with a 727 torque flight transmission.
There were no internet order houses back then , just your eyeball, a tape measure and your imagination!! Plus a good dose of your car club members and beer and pizza!

This isn't a picture of my car, but same Forrest green, my Kodachrome pictures faded long ago!

They certainly do work - It's awesome that ZZP also provides a kit that includes everything you need. Only downfall is for our little HHRs the calipers only come in black. Again, nothing a little g2 caliper paint can't fix.

Always been a fan of red calipers.

I had one of those! But, yellow w/ black vinyl roof and 3 on the floor, 225 slant 6. My wife had a matching Duster automatic.

I too messed with MoPars
Chevy's and some Ford's were so easy to drop in different engines.
But MoPar's no, always had to change the K frame when you went from slant 6, small block or big block. Good luck if you wanted to install a Hemi and found a K frame for them.
