I am a little confused here. My windows seem to be just darker glass and not aftermarket "tinted" at all.
Unless of course, this is the single best tint job in history as I can find no edges or indications of any material on the glass at all.

I am in LA (Lower Alabama) right on the Gulf Coast so we get some pretty harsh sun and I have not seen a need for additional tinting on any of mine so far.
So I am wondering if there was a "smoked windows" option or what.

Not for the front drivers and passengers doors, but they are tinted from the factory

Front door windows have a very light factory tinted glass, The rears are factory tinted much darker. The tinting is made into the glass, not applied film like an aftermarket tint job.

Last year the passenger side bubbled after being on for 18 years. I could not get the tint to come off in one piece. Just keep flaking off in little pieces. Had to use the soap water/ razor blade to remove the tint and glue together. Took me 2 hours and my fingers were sore for days.
You could have used a hair dryer while peeling the tint off.

Tried that but didn't help. The tint/glue had dried and hardened up and just turned brittle. Probably why it had bubbled up and started cracking after many years.

The tint on my old pickup was applied way back in 1999, it hasn't faded or bubbled or peeled yet. It must be the installation and the quality of the film

Most likely that Oldblue. Plus the temps down here in the summer. I've seen the inside of my truck hit 140-150 degrees F. I keep a pocket thermometer stuck in one of the AC ducts.
