In the US you can go to any bank loan officer and ask what the estimated value is.
The "value" is whatever somebody is willing to pay. That is real tough for an American car in Portugal. There is a good chance that it is the only one, no sales history to go on.

I always say , it only worth what the cheque doesn't bounce for! Prices for a rare in Portugal American car could be high, if the HHR is a sought after coveted ride, or low if it is deemed to be like a Lada or a Yugo over here.

Year: 2007
Sunroof: yes
Leather interior: yes
Body condition: good
In Portugal there should only be mine and 1 more at the maximum.
I was thinking of selling for 10,000 and at least 8,000.
What do you think?
An obstacle to the sale is the car tax

My computer tells me that the Euro is worth 0.9612 U.S. dollars so that is about the same as U.S. dollars.
Since the HHR was discontinued in 2010 they are selling for about what you have listed for price. Naturally some go for more {or at least the asking price is higher whether they sell or that or not is debatable}
Go ahead and list it for what you think you can get and see how it goes.
