Sorry about Bob, I feel your pain. Bob looks like a sweet ride. It's a shame to lose him. Best wishes to you.

Got the word from the insurance company:
Cash value $12,910.07
- title fee 16.50
- deductible 500
- buy back 1200
$ 11,226.57

I'm happy with that. Drove it home from the shop, much worse than I thought.
I'll post some pics this weekend. I'll also start inventorying what I'll be removing for selling.
If you have anything specific you may want shoot me a PM.

if the insurance co. totals it,the have to ask you if you want to keep the car,you might have to pay them a salvage fee,but you keep the car and part it out.len

I think that's what the $1200 buy back he posted was.

Why not buy another HHR and transplant the pieces over to the new one?

Isn't your HHR the one and only with the Hahn turbo kit on it?

As I recall you had problems with their tuning and had it tuned by someone else, after which it worked good. I was hoping they would come out with the kit but I don't think they ever did.

IIRC, it wasn't just the tune. The Hahn kit didn't seal correctly or something. Can't remember for sure.

the turbo has been flawless for the last two years, Vince @ Trifecta worked with me on the tune and my local car guy helped me with the one fitment issue, I'd been running 14lbs boots. The only thing holding it back was needing better lifter springs to keep them from floating. I will be pulling the whole set up before sending the car to salvege

FYI...a few people have sent me PMs about parts, I'm not ignoring you, its just that for now my back is still keeping me from working on it. I'm keeping track of who want want and those who've asked will be first in line. Shipping will be more difficult on the larger items. But locals are free to ask about anything including the custom hood.

I'll start pulling, taking pics, packing and posting here a list in couple of weeks.

For now I'm waiting on the check so I can get another car. No I be getting another HHR, if I did it would be a SS panel, but their too rare and more cash than I'll hac=ve to spend (up tp $10k). We've still got one in the family though, My wife's is still going strong with 160xxx +.
