If you can find a vet with a 2.4 you would have to do a lot of adapting, a few of our members are putting Corvette V8s in their HHRs.

Mom7082 - we aren't sure what you are posting for. Are you looking for help or advice or what?

Welcome to the site, the 07 will fit but might just be a little different, like the coil pack and the oil cooler!

Does the 2006 2.4L have a single coil pack like the 2006 2.2L?

If it does then the ECM is probably not compatible.

Why the 05 and 2.2 question, Don

The original 06 coil set up will fit the 07 2.4 to 2.4.

Because the 2006 2.2L had a single coil pack, in 2007 they started the 4 coils. The major difference is the method used for spark timing; different computer firmware.

I don't know what the 2006 2.4L had. That was the question.

I have a 2006 2.4; has four coil "new" version that they adopted to the 2.2 later on. and VVT!
