RWD V8 conversion kit

Okay, I know the title is just shilling for views, but check out this kit for the Ford Focus:

http://www.kugelkomponents.com/focus/focus.html

The front end structure of the Focus appears to be very similar to the HHR, so I wonder if anyone would be up for a campaign to Kugel to make a kit for us too?

man how I would love to drop the LS1 in my Z28 into an HHR.
Course, there goes the gas mileage!

Drop an LS2/3 in there with a Corvette PCM and I betcha you can keep the stock DIC system. Probably still get 25-30 MPG with as light as the HHR is. Or an LQ9 with Active Fuel Management would give you even better fuel mileage.

The tri 5 chassis looks like a copy of the Art Morrison chassis.

I'm willing to bet with the proper set up you could easily get 35 mpg with a rwd v8 hhr. With a 4L80E (or what ever trans chevy is using now) and the proper gear ration in the rear it would be extremely easy. Then can throw in the possibility of North star v8 and the possibility's are endless.

If you're gonna go to that much trouble, who cares about gas mileage! A full frame, narrowed 9" Ford, a powerglide and a blown big-block, now that's a RWD HHR! And believe me, somewhere, someone is working on one right now
