Hey guys, I lurk all the time, currently driving my wifes 07 Cobalt (bought her a 2011 camry), which ive dont a bunch of stuff too mainly suspensions, full bolt ons ect (its a 2.2 slow as hell).

We just had our second child in February, and I think I can get away with an HHR SS rather than going to a SUV/Minivan. So im really waiting until I can find the perfect deal, probably will wait till tax time next year. But what im looking for is:

09+ G85/RPD LOADED, Color isnt too big a deal maybe Red/Blue/Black under 50k under or around $15,000.

Im from MA, so theres only 2-3 around in about 100 miles, non have G85, just wondering how rare it is? and from my understanding the RPD wasnt available until 09 hence why that year +.

Already know a ton about the LNF motors and cant wait to get behind the wheel of one of these, I go to cobalt meets all the time at our local garage https://www.facebook.com/groups/NewEnglandCobalts/, where we have all tools, parts, and a great HP tuner guy on deck, so ive got that laid out. I work in car sales and during down time its basically all forum searching, which leads me to looking into parts ect. Once I get my hands on one will just keep it simple, rear sway bar, trans mount, catless DP, intake, intercooler, pedders, and HP tune hoping for 320/360 ish (I know lots of planning a head but I enjoy it).


Anyways, love the forum, love the HHR hopefully I will have my own soon. Credit being is major issue to overcome ive got to make sure that I can get price of the car with my 07 base model cobalt with 80k under $10k which will probably still be high payments with double digit interest rates.

I doubt there are any specific numbers based on just one option package.
(and I bet most of the people who read this post don't recall what G85 refers to exactly.)
Now as far as a 2010. You had to order the perf. pkg. option which was the Brembo's and LSD. You got both. And it was only available with the 5 speed. Also the RPD and sunroof were standard on all 2010 SS's.
I'm not sure on the option choices of the 2009's. Maybe someone else can fill in the info on those.

You can always buy one you like and add what you want, Mine has Brembos, and a passenger performance seat, and, and, and anyway my point is just get one, you will love it.

If I recall correctly it was a Cobalt SS option that added Recaro seats and a limited slip differential but at some point during production, it became just the limited slip differential. Never heard it applied to HHR's.

My fault I thought the G85 package from the Cobalt SS applied the same the HHR which was LSD, RPD, Brembo's. (recaros only available on SS/SC's from 05-07)

As I remember it, the Cobalt SS's got the RPD, and Brembos and the G85 simply added the Recaro's and LSD and I think they dropped the Recaros for 2008. Could be wrong about the seats.
