Thumbs down 999.9 Trip

Why is it that the HHR is the first car I have ever owned with dual trips but will only count to 999.9????? It's irritating. I use my Trip B on all my cars & bikes as miles on oil or miles from last oil change. Guess I can't with my HHR unless you all tell me that it can be adjusted in a ECM reflash.

Can it?

I noticed this on my road trip 3months after I got the car I had trip b set up hoping to show a total of miles driven on the trip. I was pissed when I noticed it had reset.

Is it something the dealer can fix with a reflash?

I didn't know they even made cars that went higher than that. My '99 Lumina only goes to 999.9, and the truck doesn't even have a trip meter.

You could add your 999.9 to the mileage that occurs after the reset and still achieve your goal.

Exactly... "Is this the 4th or 5th time it's rolled over? hmmmm...."

Remember I want to use it as a oil change trip. So it should be every bit of 5+ times to roll it over.
