sway bar end links

I have a 2006 HHR 2LT with RPO FE3 suspension. What length end links do I need for front sway bar? I see some advertised as compatible for both FE1 and FE3, with lengths from 250mm to 330mm.

Thanks

Measure the ones on the car, get the same length as replacements.

The 10 inch centre to centre, Moog K750012 these are greasable and last a lot longer then without the grease zerks.

Good idea FMG, but one possible flaw! What if the wrong sized ones were installed at some point?

Well, you're going to have to jack it up properly (a good jack and jack stands, please), and pop off a wheel.

GM in it's infinite pre-Bankruptcy wisdom, seemed to go a little goofy with the end link lengths.

So you'll either need the 9.86" (250mm) or the 11.80" (330mm) length, and the only way to be sure is to "get out, get under, and grab your tape measure".

Or, if you have a good relationship with your auto parts store, grab both lengths and return the ones that are either too long or too short.

Those of us who've replaced our end links, recommend the MOOG grease-able units, that way a shot of grease every 5,000 miles or so will keep your suspension nice and clunk free.

FYI I have the Moog K750012 installed on my HHR. They are great, however they ARE NOT regreasable. It is a new design and different from the picture on amazon. They have a zerk fitting that pumps grease into a completely sealed boot. The ones they replaced were the old style MOOGS with the fitting on the back. The new one has it on the side at an angle for easy greasing but you cant put more in since there is nowhere for the grease to come out or "purge."

?? Just a pump every oil change, mine have a small hole in the boot to let excess grease out!

These are the old style

This is the new style with the grease zerks on the link itself

Oldblue I have the second newer one. From what I looked at there wasnt any hole on the boot or anywhere that the grease could come out of. Did I miss something?

Dang it Steve. You would throw a variable in there (actually, it did cross my mind when posting up before.)
I guess I was just assuming it was the original end links. Not too many folks are replacing them a 2nd time unless they've got a lot of mileage.
