Got a 2007 hhr Ls. I was wondering if I can fit 235/60/16 on my stock rims without any problem , like tire rub up front .. Car is stock and not lowered...

Try one of the tire size calculators. 26.3" is about max height before it hits the bottom strut plate.
I'll bet that size you posted is too tall.

The answer is : Probably not. 215/60/16 almost touches the strut.

I've got 205/65R16's on my LT right now and they just fit with maybe 1/2" of clearance to the strut plate. No rubbing at steering lock. In the rear they have 1/2" to the rear of the splash shield. These are my winter tires and I like the added 1/2" of ground clearance.
