lasater are you still going to add a back seat?
That would be so cool if you can.

No back seats in the V8 Panel. I do have back seats in my daily driver panel. It would be totally possible to keep the back seat in a HHR V8 car if you wanted to, however I'm going for more of an a$$ kicker street rod than my current grocery getter. It's just a matter of preference , you can't go wrong.

Wait, I thought you were in Cali...? Orland Park Illinois?

Oh yes, I'm in SoCal but my cousin is in Orland Park and I'll be shipping the car there next summer to begin my cruise to Niagra Falls (or wherever we can hold an impromptu HHR Nats).

Hey, I got an idea...in a year both of our cars should be totally finished, roadworthy and somewhat reliable. (I hope) How's about you and the Bijou hook up with me and the V8 Panel and we form the nucleus of a HHR Nat somewhere in the Midwest / East ? I'm sure it would be possible, we don't need to go nuts, just a park somewhere and lots of HHRs

What do you think?

I am down for that... However I will be in the southeast by then... Northeast Georgia. Perhaps we could include Mike since he's going to be a short drive from where I will be. Maybe a Smoky Mountain retreat as it would be a short trek for lots of members on this forum... Or even if you want to stay Midwest, I could time my visit home close to when you are looking to get together. Which by the way is Arcola, Indiana, not Arcola Illinois... :)

HHR Nats

Any location would be fine with me, I'm just cruising around . Maybe in the spring when it's not too hot? Maybe some members could throw out some ideas on a spot that might work.

A little progress

The mounting feet for the air tank are finished and the battery hold down is welded in. The compressor is sitting just about where it will go. Slowly, piece by piece.

Every time I get my email notice about this thread, I click on the link and come to the site... scroll through the most recent posts and begin to lose all my ability to form any coherent pattern of speech.... This has got to be the Holy Grail of all HHR builds.... I will soon begin to pack my humble belongings and start a pilgrimage through the wastelands of California in order to build a shrine for the most holiest of holy HHR's!!

Actually I'll probably just wait here at my keyboard for the next update.... pilgrimages are so time consuming.

you mean like a ride in it, for that Holy Sh*t, moment when Cliff stands on the loud peddle and does a few smokey burn outs and a donut or two?
