Vin Decoder to ID original color
I am trying to find out how the color of my car would say on the original title that it was tan and has been tan until I went and had it changed on 9/16/16 after being pulled over by an officer who wanted to make sure it was my car since the color stated it was Tan. I have looked the car over and had a paint shop check it to see if there is any indication that it had been painted and there is nothing showing it had.
Is there someway to identify the original color in the VIN or serial number, something?
There is a lot of fraud when purchasing cars and I don't want to be the unknowing victim when it comes time to sell the vehicle.
I appreciate any response.
Thanks

Welcome to the site! The colour code is on the sticker in the glovebox door.
It's most like WA328. Or Cashmere.
