Watkins Glen

http://imageshack.com/a/img834/3559/g8t3.jpg

I had wanted to drive my 88 Fiero GT to the opening day event at Watkins Glen, but some transmission issues at the last minute stopped that from happening, so I loaded up the HHR, drove to upstate NY and took the HHR onto the track for a few laps.

My HHR is no road course track car, but I made the attempt to run the track. The HHR doesn't quite handle all that well in the tight curves.

Looks pretty flat in that corner, but yes- they are a handful in 1LT form.

I have a progress rear bar, not bad on the street but a track is a different story. Front bar would help the plowing I bet.

Another shot as I was coming off the track. The HHR takes a nice photo for an eight year old car with 132,000+ miles on the odometer. I think I had the only HHR at the track.

I do like that color. We should organize an HHR track day, spectators would think we're nuts.
