What Did You Do To Your HHR Today?

After 6 years of owning my SS, something decided to break. Yep. I got the dreaded "cheap a** inside door handle" broken on the drivers door.
Decided to pull it apart and take a look. Yes, it seems it boke in that weak spot that others have noted.
I was too stubborn ( and mad
) to spend money on a replacement. Just glued the handle back together and fabbed up some small metal splints that I attached to the handle to strengthen it. Used some small screw/nut combos to hold the splints tight.
Let it dry/cure for a day, then tested it before reinstalling. Seems to be good and strong.
I'll see how long it holds up.

Hopefully as long as it takes for your order of a replacement handle to arrive!
Today's was just a drive to pick up dinner at our local Chinese food joint! Then back home to feed Sweetie her favourite dish!
