After 6 years of owning my SS, something decided to break. Yep. I got the dreaded "cheap a** inside door handle" broken on the drivers door.
Decided to pull it apart and take a look. Yes, it seems it boke in that weak spot that others have noted.

I was too stubborn ( and mad ) to spend money on a replacement. Just glued the handle back together and fabbed up some small metal splints that I attached to the handle to strengthen it. Used some small screw/nut combos to hold the splints tight.

Let it dry/cure for a day, then tested it before reinstalling. Seems to be good and strong.

I'll see how long it holds up.

Hopefully as long as it takes for your order of a replacement handle to arrive!

Today's was just a drive to pick up dinner at our local Chinese food joint! Then back home to feed Sweetie her favourite dish!

Spent the afternoon watching and deciphering the NASCAR All Star race! Well that was a picnic of wierd and wonderful confusion!!

I don't see why you couldn't.
Tell them you saw the video and the link and was impressed.
Tell them of this forum and that you would like to take some photo's of the car and other builds they are doing.

Bought a drone and took some pretty cool video of the HHR. I will try to find out how to post it once I get the drone back. Crashed on the 4th day of having it., due to internal failure.
