Ok Oldblue, you win the impromptu and unofficial "Avengers Vehicular Trivia Contest", I doff my Bowler Hat to you Good Sir.

My "did" for the day was backing the HHR's out to continue the interrupted search for those bloody headlights while I listened to the U.S. team getting slaughtered by the Japanese team at the Little League World Series. The kids from PA did great, but when their pitchers started choking and just throwing the ball any which way, it was all over.

After going through every box, Michelle perched on the workbench with a thought, "maybe they're in one of the boxes we moved to the Public Storage garage".

So Sammy SS, on the way home from work tomorrow, I'll be stopping by Public storage to see if the headlights are there.

And just because old British TV has come up, this one's for you Oldblue, what cars did Tony Curtis and Sir Roger Moore drive in the 1971 ITC series "The Persuaders"?

The protagonists drive signature cars. Danny Wilde played by Tony drives a red left-hand-drive Ferrari Dino 246 GT (chassis number 00810).
Brett Sinclair played by Sir Roger Moore drives a UK-registered Bahama Yellow right-hand-drive Aston Martin DBS (chassis number DBS/5636/R) with V8 wheels and markings.
Got any Moore?

How about in which Bond film do we see Dianna Rigg and what did she drive?

Oh Oldblue, you're correct but you also fell into a trap that's nabbed folks when talking about the Dino 246 GT's since their introduction.

"The "Dino" marque was created to market a lower priced, "affordable" sports car capable of taking on the Porsche 911. Ferrari's expensive V12s well exceeded the 911 in both performance and price. Enzo did not want to diminish his exclusive brand with a cheaper car, so the "Dino" was created.

The name "Dino" honours the founder's late son, Alfredo "Dino" Ferrari, credited with designing the V6 engine used by the marque. Along with famed engineer Vittorio Jano, Dino influenced Enzo Ferrari's decision to produce a line of racing cars in the 1950s, with V6 and V8 engine designs. History shows that Alfredo Ferrari did not have a hand in the actual design of the V6 motor that made its way into the Dino."

There is no such thing as a "Ferrari Dino", just as there is no such thing as a "Ford Edsel", but you see those classic boo boos in print again and again.

It's like calling an HHR a "General Motors Chevrolet HHR", Edsel was a stand-alone division of Lincoln-Mercury, and Dino was a stand-alone division of Ferrari. Just like Chevrolet is a division of GM.

Maybe in a few days we'll delve into the cars on Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased), Department S, Jason King, or The Sweeney.

Saw a rare beauty today while truckin' down on the Ohio side across the river from Wheeling W.Va, was a Victory red HHR SS Half panel. Sorry no pictures, as I was on the phone at the time. But it looked like it just left the detail shop....john

"Dusted" a hoodless and riced out '98 or '99 Honda Civic 4-Door LX(Primer and Purple color scheme, two foot tall Pep Boys spoiler, and a fart keg muffler...fart can just didn't do it justice) on Dale Earnhardt Boulevard last night, OK so it wasn't a fair fight.

But the two Gansta's were revving the nuts off of their smoky 1.5 Liter SOHC D16Y7 non-VTEC engine, and it was a long enough day at work that my temper overruled my maturity. So they were introduced to the kind of disappearing act that a Trifecta Tuned L-61 2.2 breathing through a GMPP intake and exhaust, is capable of, they're probably still hacking up tire smoke.

It was either a bit of exuberant snorting on the overrun as I snubbed Paddy down to a speed that wouldn't attract the undue attention of the KPD, or he was kinda of chuckling to himself.

I'll go with the latter, all of the HHR's in my herd seem to run a bit better after giving a Ricer a dose of humiliation, and tire smoke.
