Wow

I've had my HHR on the road for a few weeks now and it's a blast to drive. Great on fuel, enough umph to get up and go, corners well and cool to look at. What did the engineers miss though, all 3 of my HHR's have the same issues. It's very sad for the average Joe, but for me it's great, because I can repair them easily and being able to buy them up cheap from disappointed owners, although I wish the issues were corrected, instead of stopping production.

I haven't spent $3500 dollars on all 3 combined, I have one, the Mrs has the well optioned one and my son wants the one I picked up for parts, it's actually better then we thought.

I'm looking forward to personalizing my ride as I get the time.

Sounds like you've discovered the good baked into every HHR, they are a hoot to drive, they're economical, and versatile too.

Yup, they have some faults and foibles, all well documented on this site, but those are outweighed by the basic goodness of their character.

I love mine, they are dependable like Swiss watches, and I'm never getting rid of them.

Now if I could just find a sweet SS in silver......

What? I've been looking for two years, but everytime I find a silver one, it's either beat to heck...or the dealer thinks they have the only SS ever built.

The nicest one I've found was at City Chevrolet in Charlotte, and Hendrick was asking $2,000 over "High Book".

But you'd have to agree that a bone stock, automatic equipped SS wasn't worth a penny over book value, even with only 20,000 miles on the clock.

Right now I'm deciding which one of my "runners" to expose to our record breaking 14 degree temperature this morning. Coldest November morning here since 1878, at least it's a toasty 35 degrees in New Orleans where we're headed today.

35 in N.O. ? Well, we're just 150 miles east of there and it's 24 degrees here.

Ain't Global Warming great ?

I could say a few things about Al Gore and the Tree Huggers right now, but then I'd have to disable the "Naughty Word Filter" and we'd slip right into NSFW territory.

With 50 out of 50 states reporting temps below freezing yesterday, the words Ice Age come to mind.

Thank Heavens for the remote start option, it's downright balmy here in my '06.

I'm definitely going to keep an eye out for an SS, they can haul the mail pretty good from what I've seen!!

I own a couple of factory 1969 L78 BB Novas that are a blast to drive, so an HHR SS, with the added power would allow me my fix with a daily driver.

I think once I get this first one all cleaned up and looking good, I'll start tweaking a few things, to improve handling and add some personal styling to it. One of the best things I've found, so far, they have been fairly easy to work on and figure out, with some great posts here.

Speaking of Wow, you must have an extra dose of lake effect white stuff up your way. Georgian Bay is kind of renowned for that anyway, and this week has been rough elsewhere. Hope you stay clear of snowbanks in your HHRs!

Thanks, I'm actually lucky, I live on the east side of Lake Simcoe and we only received a couple inches, most of the lake affect is typically west of me. I'm about 40min south east of Georgina Bay, our snow belt area!
