I thought they were going to work on the air bag connection in the steering column but the Service Writer told me the connection to be worked on is under the front seat. I guess these car companies copy a lot from each other as the airbag/restraint controller in dodge trucks is also under the front seat.
Hey LaRam,

Glad to see all recalls and maintenance is up-to-date on your HHR. Hope you were satisfied with your experience at the dealership. We're happy to document any unresolved or lingering questions/concerns within our system. Just PM us if you'd like to speak further.

Have a nice evening,

Amber N.

Taking both my '09 HHRs in next week for the airbag switch recall. Black Beauty is at 19,740 miles and may as well have a 20,000 mile checkup; tires rotated, oil changed, filters, etc. I have put 8,000 miles on her since October 2013 and that is a lot of miles for me.

The Blue Beast will only get the switch replaced.

I had only 72,000 miles only the S-10 that I bought new and sold recently. I miss that pickup.

Apparently when they put the new harness in, the airbag light came on. Some sensors were suddenly out of range, requiring them to solder or re-solder some connections. I found this to be out of the normal course of such a repair, but I was assured no other parts should have to be replaced and that the fix is good. Anyone else have a similar experience?
