2 pages of replies. Not one is relevant to the topic or the original post.

Sure it was my post which is # 2 talks about the letter.. Couple other mention the letter as well..

Edit actually there pretty much all on topic. Talking about the letters and recalls. Yours was the first post to not really talk about the recalls.

*shrugs* honestly dont think it was necessary.

I'm confused.
My original post was more like a rant statement. All the follow up comments seemed to be about the same general thread topic. No complaints on my end about those posts.

No telling fireman,

Anyway I ended up getting my car back today. They called right near 5 saying it was ready. Took the rental back and got the two new keys and they also recharged my AC so it blows nice and cold again :)

Not sure if it was the letter and my online submission for the parts or the original request at the dealer 4 months ago but It's all done now :)

That's the funny thing. I dropped mine off at 730 right when they opened and when enterprise called me around 230 I was like like huh? hehe The guy said they were swamped and had been over booking appts since some people forget to show but I guess everyone showed today lol..

I have gotten 2 of the URGENT letters about my old in the junkyard 2008, only the first post card about my current 2011.

2 months ago I walked into the Buick dealer and ordered the parts. Last week they called to inform me the parts are in.

I called to make an appointment. I told the guy that Saturday the 30th would be good for me. He said "we don't usually do those on Saturday, that's for oil changes". I told him they would have to supply a vehicle for me to use any other day. Without even taking a breath he asked "can you be here at 8:00 A.M.".

What does this all have to do with "Does GM even know IF your recall parts are ordered ?"

No GM corporate does not know if your personal parts have been ordered. Somebody a while ago posted the rather archaic and arcane way they are handling the ordering process and it does not involve personal identification on the corporate level, only on the dealership Parts Department level.

Order time is generally running 6-8 weeks. Don't know where they came up with 2 weeks.
