You should have turned around and went right back to the dealer, not home

I don't trust that they will be straight up in taking blame. My car pretty much can't be driven now.....last GM I ever buy, destroying a 35 year stint of being a "Chevy guy".
One bad experience (that you now know, wasn't their fault) and you were already bashing them and swearing them off? I don't think they would miss having a customer like that anyway

Glad your problem got resolved though, that's the most important thing

You mean the MICE that caused the havoc. Or, did you not read the resolution.

What are you talking about? Resolution?
My comment was for execs that greedily withheld info on the defect that caused death. I am a retired GM employee(33.3 yrs) since '07. I do not condone crap like this that causes hard working employees below them to lose their jobs and livelyhood because of physcotic, egotistic, money hungry so-called execs that could not care about anyone except themselves and their snivelling cohorts that give GM a bad name. Don't blame GM...blame the "criminals" that caused it.

It was a mouse.......yes, right after I had the ignition switch replaced a mouse got into the wiring to the trans and clipped 3 wires. Thus the reason for all the different codes. The Dealership treated me very well and even got GM to spring for the towing. How awesome is that? It took a couple hours to diagnose and fix the wires and I was happy to pay it.

I drove 40 kms and made a stop and when I left after, the trans did not want to shift up again. I pulled over, put it in park and back into drive and it was fine, so I hope that is just a fluke.

Thanks to McGee Motors (in particular Brian who handled this) in Goderich, ON, Sue at GM customer Service and Kevin at MacDonalds Automotive Performance (Seaforth, ON) for all the help and guidance.
This resolution. It pays to read entire threads

The 'resolution' really has little if anything to do with Cokeybill's comment. His comment is rather about the whole ignition replacement thing......to which I wholeheartedly agree. Read the post he quoted when he made the comment........

But the havoc in this case was caused by mice not people.

The recalled part turns out has nothing to do with the complaint in the thread title.

Okay, so now it's alright to troll for keywords on threads and then advance unrelated agendas?

I was trying to stop it gently.
